POSITION SUMMARY:


The primary responsibility is to meticulously clean all areas within the hotel, focusing on elevating the guest experience through exceptional cleanliness standards.

This role involves reporting maintenance issues and addressing guest inquiries or concerns. It is essential to maintain the confidentiality and security of all guest accommodations.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

Guest Rooms, Service Corridors, Housekeeping Area

Job may involve working:

  • In varying temperature conditions (including extreme heat or cold).
  • In environments with fluctuating noise levels.
  • In proximity to fumes and/or odor hazards.
  • In areas with dust and/or mite hazards.
  • With cleaning chemicals.
  • In environments with bio-hazards.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Thoroughly clean and sanitize assigned guest rooms, including bathrooms. Dust surfaces; vacuum carpets, area rugs, drapes, and upholstered furniture; make beds and change linens; sweep, mop, and wash floors; collect debris and empty waste bins. Spot clean walls and doors as necessary. Organize guests' personal items as needed. Clean public areas as required.
  • Restock towels and essential supplies in guest rooms. Replace facial tissues, toilet paper, and bathroom amenities in the appropriate amounts and locations.
  • Utilize appropriate cleaning agents for designated surfaces, adhering to safety regulations and company sanitation standards.
  • Maintain comprehensive knowledge of the proper operation and maintenance of cleaning equipment. Use equipment solely for its intended purpose.
  • Keep carts and linen storage areas organized and safe.
  • Report all maintenance issues to ensure guest satisfaction.
  • Accountable for the keys assigned to you.
  • Responsible for returning all lost and found items to the Housekeeping Office for logging.
  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including safety and sanitation protocols. Operate safely when handling heavy loads or heavily soiled linens, including the use of personal protective equipment.
  • Report any accidents, injuries, or unsafe working conditions to management.
  • Ensure that uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional.
  • Understand emergency procedures for the Housekeeping department and the hotel.
  • May be required to work evenings, weekends, and/or overtime.
  • Additional tasks and responsibilities may be assigned at the discretion of management. Furthermore, responsibilities may be modified based on business volume and the need for work completion at that time.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to accurately follow instructions.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent attendance and punctuality.
  • Well-groomed, clean, and neat appearance.
  • Ability to maintain excellent attendance and punctuality while working independently.

EXPERIENCE:

  • Previous experience in housekeeping preferred but not mandatory.
