Your Role:

  • Oversee environmental siting, planning, and permitting for renewable energy, natural gas, and electric initiatives.
  • Lead project management efforts, guiding teams and mentoring junior staff.
  • Direct energy facility siting/routing, permitting, environmental field surveys, resource analyses, agency coordination, public outreach, budgeting, and project tracking.
  • Prepare various local jurisdictional permitting efforts, including conditional use and land use applications.
  • Manage the development of resource studies (e.g., wildlife biology, wetlands, cultural resources) and permit applications for state and county jurisdictions.
  • Act as a representative for clients before federal, state, and local regulatory and land management agencies.
  • Compile project descriptions and summaries, respond to data requests, and present findings at public meetings.
  • Conduct literature research and data collection for environmental assessments and documentation.
  • Assist with public engagement, agency consultation, and planning activities.
  • Participate in agency meetings, hearings, and related functions.

Qualifications:

  • 6 to 10 years of relevant experience.
  • Proficient in managing multiple tasks and coordinating effectively with team members.
  • Ability to research and interpret federal, state, and local regulations for project-specific permitting feasibility.
  • Strong critical thinking skills, flexible problem-solving approach, and excellent communication abilities.
  • Compliance with pre-employment drug screening and physical requirements as necessary.
  • Possession of a valid driver's license with a clean driving record.

Compensation:

Salary commensurate with experience, with a range of $85,000 - $130,000 per year. Various factors influence final pay, including relevant work experience, skills, certifications, geographic location, and education.

Tetra Tech provides comprehensive benefits, including medical insurance, workers' compensation, and a 401(k) plan. Eligible for sick pay accrual as per regulations.
