Licensed Veterinary Technician, Cardiology Specialist

The Schwarzman Animal Medical Center is a renowned non-profit animal hospital seeking a skilled Licensed Veterinary Technician to join our Cardiology Department. As a key member of our team, you will provide exceptional care to our patients and support our veterinarians in all facets of care.
Responsibilities:- Provide compassionate and skilled care to patients from admission to discharge
- Support veterinarians in interpreting and executing treatment directives
- Complete technical procedures and treatments with strict adherence to department and hospital protocols
- Communicate effectively with clients and referral veterinarians
- Maintain accurate and concise records of patient treatment progress and charges
- Assist with maintaining stock, ordering supplies, and ensuring cleanliness of the ward
- Participate in the training of new employees and volunteers
- Contribute to educational and research projects
- NYS Veterinary Technician's license (or permit) with general practice and anesthesia experience
- Ability to handle and restrain all species of animals
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds and work in a fast-paced environment
- Must be able to work successfully as part of a team and independently
- Basic computer skills and ability to complete paperwork accurately
- Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and additional hours as needed
