BluePearl Pet Hospital is seeking an experienced Licensed Veterinary Technician to join our Cardiology department in Midtown, Manhattan. This role offers a unique opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment and utilize your skills to provide exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Start appointments and take a full patient history, including obtaining vital signs such as temperature, heart rate, respiratory rate, and blood pressure.
  • Perform digital radiography using proper technique and positioning of patients.
  • Have a complete understanding of normal patient vital signs and be able to identify patients at risk for arrest.
  • Initiate CPR and administer medications via appropriate routes and duration.
  • Be proficient in phlebotomy and placing intravenous catheters in all peripheral vessels.
  • Induce, monitor, and recover anesthesia in patients and use anesthesia/monitoring equipment for procedures.
  • Have a passion for mentoring and training other co-workers.
  • Have patience and empathy to address client concerns.
