Operations Manager Job Description

Nika Inc is seeking a highly skilled Operations Manager to join our team. As an Operations Manager, you will be responsible for providing support services to the U.S. Health and Human Services Department at the Hubert H. Humphrey building in Washington D.C.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and coordinate facilities maintenance operations to ensure conformance with the Contract and Nika Inc Policies/Procedures.
  • Supervise and develop personnel, facilities, materials, finances, and subcontractors.
  • Implement open-work order activities and strategically plan to ensure conformance with established contract requirements.
  • Monitor and ensure employee conformance with Quality Assurance Program elements.
  • Coordinate workforce management and contract compliance efforts with other Managers.
  • Interface with and monitor subcontractors.
  • Prepare required reports and analyses as required.
Requirements:
  • Minimum seven (7) years' experience in building maintenance operations in Federal owned facilities.
  • DC First class operator's license.
  • Experience in complex industrial facilities maintenance and utility systems operation.
  • Demonstrated experience writing scopes of work and preparing basic cost estimates.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Adobe.
  • Experience in different size and complexity of project types.
  • Familiarity with Agile and Waterfall project management methodologies.
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
  • U.S. Citizenship and ability to obtain an access card to the site.
