POSITION SUMMARY

The Eyebrow Waxing Specialist plays a pivotal role in enhancing the Benefit brand's sales by engaging with clients to understand their unique preferences, guiding them in selecting and purchasing products, and delivering specialized services such as eyebrow and facial waxing and tinting. This position embodies the brand's image, products, and ethos while supporting the Experience Manager through a commitment to performance, guest service, and adherence to operational standards. A valid license in Esthetics or Cosmetology is required, along with exceptional customer service skills and a willingness to learn and share product knowledge.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

The Eyebrow Waxing Specialist is expected to uphold Ulta Beauty's mission and values by executing the following responsibilities:

Sales Performance

Achieve or surpass sales and service targets for the Benefit brand, contributing to overall store objectives related to retail and service sales, customer loyalty, and operational efficiency. Ensure every client receives outstanding service by welcoming and engaging them, tailoring services to their needs, and suggesting complementary products and services. Conduct makeup applications, skincare assessments, and product demonstrations to enhance sales and improve the customer experience. Provide short services at the Brow Bar, including eyebrow and facial waxing, tweezing, tinting, and threading, while adhering to all company policies and procedures. Schedule client appointments for initial and follow-up services using the appointment system. Meet established sales per labor hour and service-to-sales ratio targets. Stay informed about industry trends, products, and services to better assist clients. Maintain consistent attendance and punctuality.

Team Collaboration

Foster an inclusive atmosphere that supports colleagues and clients alike. Actively participate in ongoing training sessions to promote professional growth and enhance sales performance. Build and nurture strong client relationships and maintain an active clientele for Benefit brand services. Collaborate with Benefit brand partners and participate in required training and promotional events. Partner with salon professionals to ensure a high level of customer service. Educate clients about the benefits of the loyalty program and the Ulta Beauty app. Work closely with store management and associates to drive business growth.

Operational Excellence

Ensure compliance with Ulta Beauty's policies and procedures. Follow all safety and sanitation protocols before, during, and after services. Adhere to the dress code, including wearing brand assets as required. Maintain the Brow Bar area, ensuring it is well-stocked, organized, and compliant with hygiene standards. Communicate supply needs to management and brand representatives promptly. Uphold high operational standards, including cleanliness in all assigned areas. Participate in merchandise resets, inventory procedures, and shipment processing. Protect company assets by following loss prevention practices while delivering exceptional service. Execute additional operational tasks as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education

High school diploma preferred. Valid cosmetology or esthetics license as required by state law.

Experience

Prior experience in makeup application and eyebrow/facial waxing preferred. Proficiency in using necessary equipment for technical services.

Skills

Strong sales, product knowledge, and customer service skills. Ability to cultivate and maintain client relationships. Capability to work independently and collaboratively within a team. Proficient in managing guest concerns and multitasking in a dynamic environment. Excellent communication abilities.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS

Flexibility to work varied hours, including evenings and weekends. Participation in brand-sponsored training sessions.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Continuous mobility throughout the shift. Frequent standing, bending, and lifting up to 25 lbs. Ongoing coordination and manipulation of objects during the shift.
