Brow Shaping Specialist

POSITION SUMMARY

The Brow Waxing Professional plays a crucial role in enhancing the Benefit brand's sales by engaging with clients to assess their unique preferences, guiding them in selecting and purchasing products, and delivering quick services such as eyebrow and facial waxing and tinting. This role embodies the brand's image, products, and culture while supporting the Experience Manager through a focus on performance, customer service, and operational processes. A valid license in Esthetics or Cosmetology is required, along with exceptional customer service skills and the ability to learn and convey product knowledge effectively.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

The Brow Waxing Professional is expected to exemplify Ulta Beauty's mission and values by consistently performing the following duties:

Sales Performance

• Achieve or surpass sales and service targets for the Benefit brand, contributing to overall store goals related to retail and service sales.
• Ensure every client receives outstanding service by welcoming and engaging them, tailoring services to their needs, and suggesting complementary products.
• Conduct makeup applications, skincare assessments, and product demonstrations to enhance sales and customer experience.
• Provide short services at the Brow Bar, including eyebrow and facial waxing, tweezing, eyebrow tinting, and threading, adhering to all company policies.
• Utilize the appointment system to schedule clients for initial and follow-up services.
• Strive to meet sales per labor hour and sales to service ratio goals.
• Stay informed about industry trends and product knowledge to better assist clients.
• Maintain consistent attendance and punctuality.

Customer Engagement

• Foster an inclusive atmosphere that supports colleagues and clients alike.
• Actively participate in ongoing training sessions to enhance professional development and sales performance.
• Build and sustain strong relationships with clients and maintain an active clientele portfolio for Benefit brand services.
• Collaborate with Benefit brand partners to execute in-store events and promotions effectively.
• Promote teamwork and exceptional customer service by partnering with salon professionals.
• Share information about the guest loyalty program and the Ulta Beauty app with clients.
• Work collaboratively with store management and associates to drive business growth.

Operational Excellence

• Ensure compliance with Ulta Beauty's policies and procedures.
• Follow all safety and sanitation protocols before, during, and after services.
• Adhere to the brand's dress code and maintain a professional appearance.
• Keep the Brow Bar area well-stocked, organized, and compliant with hygiene standards.
• Communicate supply needs to management promptly to ensure readiness for clients.
• Maintain high operational standards, including cleanliness in all assigned areas.
• Participate in merchandise resets and inventory processes as needed.
• Protect company assets by following loss prevention practices while delivering exceptional service.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education

• High school diploma preferred.
• Valid cosmetology or esthetics license as required by state law.

Experience

• Previous experience in makeup application and eyebrow services preferred.
• Proficient in using necessary equipment for technical work.

Skills

• Strong competency in sales and customer service.
• Ability to cultivate and maintain client relationships.
• Capability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Proficient in managing guest concerns and multitasking in a dynamic environment.
• Excellent communication skills.

WORKING CONDITIONS

• Continuous mobility and standing during shifts.
• Frequent physical activities including lifting and moving items.
