About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Nutrition Specialist to join our team at Boston University's Sargent College of Health and Rehabilitation Sciences. As a key member of our Sargent Choice Nutrition Center, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality, evidence-based nutrition services to our faculty, staff, and students, as well as to the greater Boston community.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with our Student Health Services team to develop and deliver interactive group nutrition workshops and individual nutrition counseling services for students at increased nutritional risk.
  • Design and instruct a one-credit nutrition course, providing students with a comprehensive understanding of nutrition principles and practices.
  • Work closely with our Dining Services team to support the Sargent Choice Healthy Food and Education Program, promoting healthy eating habits and providing recipe development and quality control.
  • Provide custom group seminars for BU and non-BU affiliated groups, addressing topics such as eating disorders, weight-related concerns, food allergies and intolerances, digestive disorders, sports nutrition, and more.
  • Support faculty and staff with BU Wellness programming, cooking demonstrations, and custom nutrition seminars, as well as individual counseling services for our HR-sponsored programs.
Requirements
  • Master's Degree in Nutrition or a related field.
  • Registered Dietitian (RD) or Licensed Dietitian (LD) certification.
  • 1-3 years of related experience in nutrition education, counseling, or a related field.
