Job Summary:

We are looking for a compassionate and detail-oriented Practical Nurse Licensed to provide nursing care to patients in a correctional setting. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to delivering exceptional patient care, working collaboratively with other healthcare professionals, and maintaining a safe and respectful environment for patients and staff.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct patient care, including administering medications, performing vital signs, and conducting medical procedures.
  • Assess patients' physical and emotional needs, develop individualized care plans, and implement interventions to promote optimal health outcomes.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including physicians, nurses, and therapists, to ensure comprehensive and coordinated care.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient care, including medical histories, treatment plans, and progress notes.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives, including data collection, analysis, and implementation of evidence-based practices.
Requirements:
  • Current licensure as a Practical Nurse in the State of Michigan.
  • Graduation from an accredited Practical Nursing program.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, with a strong commitment to patient safety and satisfaction.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
