Job Title: Licensed Practical Nurse

The Licensed Practical Nurse E9 provides comprehensive nursing care to patients, applying policies, procedures, and protocols under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse. Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing total patient care for assigned patients, ensuring their hygiene needs are met and assisting with activities of daily living.
  • Assessing patients within the LPN scope of practice, training, and competency, and administering medications and treatments as needed.
  • Keeping the RN informed of patient condition changes and response to treatment.
  • Working with maximum security prisoners 100% of on-duty time.

This role is subject to random drug and alcohol screening.

A signing bonus of up to $1,500 is included with this position.

Requirements:

  • Possession of a certificate from a practical nursing education program accepted for licensure by the Michigan Board of Nursing.
  • No specific type or amount of experience is required.

As a state employee, you will be expected to meet high ethical standards and maintain effective services. All employees must report any possible conflict of interest and complete the CS-1783 form.
