Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team at Henry Ford Allegiance Hospital. As an LPN, you will work under the delegated authority of a registered nurse or provider, providing high-quality nursing care to patients in a variety of settings.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide technical and routine nursing services to patients, including administering medications, performing vital signs, and documenting patient information.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop, implement, and evaluate the effectiveness of the nursing care plan.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure seamless care coordination.
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to maintain clinical competence and stay up-to-date on best practices.
Requirements
  • Graduate from an accredited Licensed Practical Nursing School.
  • Basic computer knowledge and keyboarding skills.
  • LPNs working in home care environments must have reliable daily transportation and meet fingerprinting eligibility standards.
  • Must meet or exceed core customer service responsibilities, standards, and behaviors as outlined in the HFHS Customer Service Policy.
Certifications/Licenses Required
  • Current licensure by the Michigan State Board of Nursing as a Licensed Practical Nurse.
  • Successful completion of HFHS pharmacology exam for the LPN.
  • Current BLS.
Preferred Education/Experience
  • Previous ambulatory nursing experience preferred for the ambulatory setting.
