RAYUS Radiology, previously known as Center for Diagnostic Imaging and Insight Imaging, is seeking a Float MRI Technologist to enhance our team. We are redefining the radiology landscape, emphasizing its essential role in accurate diagnosis and effective treatment. As a Float MRI Technologist, your primary responsibility will be to operate MRI equipment to capture diagnostic images of patients across various facilities within the region. You will provide leadership and technical expertise to MRI services, ensuring adherence to professional standards and delivering exceptional customer service. A commitment to ongoing education and awareness of advancements in the field is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

(75%) Patient Imaging
  • Conducts routine and advanced MRI examinations on specified body areas for physician use in diagnosing and treating medical conditions with minimal supervision.
  • Evaluates patients prior to procedures for any necessary precautions or contraindications.
  • Prepares patients for MRI examinations by explaining procedures, positioning them appropriately, and offering support throughout the process.
  • Adjusts scanning parameters as required to optimize image quality.
  • Maintains a positive working relationship with radiologists, referring physicians, and colleagues.
  • Communicates effectively with doctors, nurses, patients, and their families as needed.
  • Follows physician directives accurately and adheres to safety protocols to ensure the well-being of patients and staff.
  • Maintains accurate patient records within the Radiology Information System (RIS).
  • Ensures a clean and organized workspace, promoting safety for patients and coworkers.
(20%) Imaging Support
  • Keeps MRI equipment in optimal working condition; cleans and disinfects machinery after each use.
  • Assists in maintaining an updated MRI protocol manual and implements software upgrades.
  • Monitors inventory of medical supplies.
  • Supports the training of new staff, providing guidance and technical knowledge.
(5%) Additional Duties
  • Performs other related tasks as assigned.

Qualifications:

Required:
  • ARRT registered technologist, in good standing.
  • Graduate of an AMA-accredited radiography program.
  • Licensed Radiological Technologist in the relevant state, if applicable.
  • Current CPR certification.
  • Training and experience sufficient to independently perform MR and/or radiographic procedures.
  • MR certification.
  • Valid driver's license and proof of current insurance.
