RAYUS Radiology is seeking a dedicated MRI Technologist to enhance our imaging services. As an MRI Technologist, your primary responsibility will be to operate MRI scanners to capture high-quality images for diagnostic evaluation. You will adopt a patient-focused approach, delivering MRI services that adhere to professional standards while ensuring exceptional customer care.

Each patient visits our facilities seeking clarity and answers. You will support them through this sometimes challenging experience by providing clear explanations of the procedures and addressing any questions or concerns they may have.

Key Responsibilities:

(90%) Patient MRI Imaging

  • Conduct patient screenings prior to examinations to identify any precautions or contraindications, utilizing two patient identifiers to ensure accuracy.
  • Clearly explain MRI procedures to patients, preparing them adequately and positioning them for optimal imaging.
  • Perform both routine and advanced MRI scans on specified body areas, assisting physicians in diagnosing and treating medical conditions, while minimizing the need for repeat scans and providing continuous patient support.
  • Adjust MRI scanning parameters as necessary to ensure high-quality images.
  • Foster positive relationships with radiologists, referring physicians, and colleagues.
  • Adhere strictly to physician directives and safety protocols to safeguard yourself, patients, and coworkers.
  • Maintain accurate patient records within the Radiology Information System (RIS).
  • Ensure a clean and organized workspace, promoting safety for patients and staff.
  • Keep the ACR toolkit and accreditation standards up to date.
  • Regularly inspect and maintain equipment, ensuring it is clean and functional after each use.
  • Comply with all HIPAA regulations to protect patient confidentiality.

(5%) MRI Department Support

  • Assist in updating the imaging protocol manual and managing software upgrades.
  • Monitor inventory of medical supplies and request replenishments as needed.
  • Support the training of new staff by providing guidance and technical expertise.

(5%) Additional Responsibilities

  • Complete other assigned tasks as necessary.
