Performance Contracting Group is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Associate Estimator to join our team in Lakeland, FL. As an Associate Estimator, you will be responsible for performing quantitative takeoffs on construction projects, establishing labor productivities for estimates, and maintaining positive relationships with area vendors for competitive material and equipment pricing.

Key Responsibilities
  • Performing quantitative takeoffs on construction projects
  • Establishing labor productivities for estimates
  • Maintaining positive relationships with area vendors for competitive material and equipment pricing
  • Soliciting subcontractor pricing for work done outside of our self-perform group
  • Understanding market conditions, including competitive approach, backlog, level of risk for work, and other factors for establishing margin percentages
  • Participating in internal bid reviews with supervisors and project team
  • Contract administration for secured projects
  • Preparing wage and benefit schedules
  • Assisting in the hand-off of secured projects to the Operations Team
  • Assisting in other duties as assigned, such as change order management or billings, depending on the project(s)
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Science or Construction Management
  • Experience with estimating drywall and/or paint scopes of construction
  • Strong ability to read, understand, and interpret specifications and drawings for PCI's scopes of work
  • Strong record of establishing and maintaining customer relationships
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • High level of attention to detail and cost analysis
  • Ability to accurately read schedules for sequencing and durations of applicable scopes of work
  • Proficiency with computer takeoff & estimating software such as On-Screen Takeoff and Quickbid
  • Local to the Cincinnati Metro Area
