We are currently in search of a meticulous and motivated individual to take on the role of Service Writer. This position is based in our operations and involves supporting the service manager in managing the lifecycle of service orders through various essential processes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure all checklists, condition reports, and necessary documentation are accurately filed and stored in the designated databases.
  • Provide accurate estimates for customer repairs and associated charges.
  • Guarantee timely processing and invoicing of all billable service orders.
  • Maintain up-to-date cut sheets, manuals, and other relevant organizational information in the appropriate databases.
  • Regularly update unit condition images in the designated databases.
  • Prepare and log vendor warranty claims appropriately.
  • Manage internal warranty claims and ensure proper logging.
  • Organize and prioritize fleet vehicles, rigs, and tractors utilizing ELD software.
  • Confirm that all annual DOT inspections are current and properly documented.
  • Review and organize field failure reports for the service manager's assessment.
  • Collaborate with the parts department on purchase orders to ensure timely receipt of parts for service orders.
  • Assist the yard workforce as necessary.
Qualifications:
  • Associate's degree in logistics, supply chain management, or a combination of relevant education and experience.
  • Forklift certification or the ability to obtain one.
  • Preferred experience in the construction sector.
  • Familiarity with receiving and shipping protocols.
  • Proficient in MS Office and other required software applications.
  • Experience with both general automotive and diesel auto parts.
  • Experience in ordering and managing large inventories of auto parts.

  • Capability to manage multiple tasks in a dynamic environment.
  • Strong self-motivation and the ability to work independently.
  • Excellent time management and organizational abilities.
