About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Baker to join our team at The Inn at Little Washington. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a passion for baking and pastry-making to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

The successful candidate will have a minimum of 3 years' experience in a bakery setting, preferably at a fine-dining or Michelin level. A strong understanding of baking and pastry techniques is essential, as well as the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.

As a Baker at The Inn at Little Washington, you will be responsible for assisting the Head Baker and Bakery Sous Chef in all facets of the bakery operation. This includes managing a rotating selection of breads on a daily and seasonal basis, ensuring standards and policies are maintained, and upholding the implemented standards and policies for maintaining a clean and sanitary work environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the production of high-quality bread and pastries, including mixing, folding, dividing, and shaping.
  • Manage inventory and ensure accurate scaling of ingredients.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to health and safety regulations.
  • Work collaboratively with the culinary team to provide exceptional customer service.
  • Participate in ongoing training and development to improve skills and knowledge.
Requirements
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in a bakery setting, preferably at a fine-dining or Michelin level.
  • Associates Degree in Culinary Arts or equivalent experience.
  • ServSafe certification within six months of employment.
  • Strong knowledge of baking and pastry techniques, including fundamentals and advanced methods.
  • Ability to work efficiently and effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Estimated Salary: $45,000 - $60,000 per annum
