The Role:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Medical Respite Program Director to join our team at Sinai Hospital of Baltimore. This role will lead the day-to-day operations of the Carroll Respite Center, managing a diverse team of clinical support staff.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of clinical support staff, including case management, respite assistants, peer recovery support, security, transportation, and dietary services.
  • Recruit, interview, hire, and train staff as growth or vacancy occurs.
  • Conduct regular performance management duties, including one-on-one updates, team meetings, coaching, new hire evaluations, and performance improvement plans.
  • Maintain work schedules for assigned staff, adhering to budgetary guidelines and minimizing overtime.
  • Oversee the preparation and submission of timecards, ensuring financial stewardship through effective inventory management and supply procurement.
  • Supervise the day-to-day flow of the respite center, ensuring tasks and duties are completed timely, professionally, and accurately.
  • Participate in direct patient-guest services, including triage, assessments, clinical evaluations, and related care per licensure.
  • Perform timely, accurate, legal, and ethical documentation.
  • Maintain relevant education and training to support clinical services.
  • Participate in process improvement workgroups to identify areas for growth and implement sustainable change.
  • Cultivate internal and external partnerships to align with program services and goals.

Requirements:

  • Current Maryland Licensure as RN from accredited institution.
  • Current Basic Life Support certification from the American Heart Association and Naloxone Administration.
  • 4 years of experience in a medical environment.
  • Minimum 3 years of leadership or supervisory experience in a relevant field.
  • Emergency or Behavioral Health/Substance Recovery experience is a plus.
  • Proficient in technology with typing and data entry skills and ability to quickly learn relevant systems.
  • Strong mastery of the English language with regard to reading, writing, and speaking abilities.
  • Spanish bilingual is a plus.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills, including service recovery, conflict resolution, and de-escalation abilities.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, challenging environment.
  • Demonstrated interest in working with underserved populations.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to interact positively and effectively with patients, visitors, staff, and clinicians.
  • Requires a current Maryland state driver's license.
