This role will be responsible for working on complex technical designs that enable business strategies in accordance with architectural governance, standards, and policies. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of messaging middleware and will be able to develop and maintain support processes for data validation, entitlements integration, and upgrades.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2+ years' experience working in a UNIX/Linux production environment with hundreds of hosts and a strong background in programming languages such as Perl, Python, Bash, or C++. They will also have a solid understanding of data structures and databases, including SQL and NoSQL.

This role will require the ability to work collaboratively with regional and globally distributed teams to maintain and enhance existing and new messaging architectures. The successful candidate will be responsible for defining, automating, and maintaining support processes for data validation, entitlements integration, and upgrades.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operational and Engineering Support role working on messaging middleware
  • Play a key role between Production and Development teams
  • Define, automate, and maintain support processes for data validation, entitlements integration, and upgrades
  • Implement best practices while configuring and deploying AMPS instances
  • Optimize existing solutions and architectures
  • Contribute to the design of resilient messaging architectures for low latency/high throughput use cases

Requirements:

  • 2+ years' experience working in a UNIX/Linux production environment with hundreds of hosts
  • Minimum 4 years' experience programming in Perl, Python, Bash, or C++
  • 2+ years' experience in data structures and databases (SQL and NoSQL)
  • Understanding of the Kerberos authentication protocol
  • Mandatory minimum of 2 years or more working with AMPS and/or 4+ years working with other publisher/subscriber messaging products

Desired Qualifications:

  • Automation with Ansible
  • Experience using Git, Bitbucket, Jira, Wiki
  • Basic knowledge of Middleware (AMPS, MQ, Kafka) and Platform OS (Windows, Unix)
  • Programming experience interfacing with web and backend system interfaces
  • Supporting multiple authentication methods (i.e. Kerberos, SiteMinder)
