Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance/Repair Technician to join our team at ITW Commercial Construction. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for performing repair and maintenance tasks on machinery, mechanical equipment, and production machines.

This role requires a high level of mechanical aptitude, problem-solving skills, and attention to detail. You will work closely with our production team to identify and resolve equipment issues, implement preventative maintenance programs, and maintain a safe and efficient work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Troubleshoot and repair malfunctioning equipment
  • Assist with the installation and setup of new equipment
  • Suggest corrective actions for recurring downtime or performance issues
  • Maintain a preventative maintenance program
  • Maintain a spare parts inventory system

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • At least 3+ years of experience in maintenance/repair
  • Ability to work 11:00 PM – 7:30 AM
  • Must be able to work up to 40 hours with occasional overtime

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Training and experience equivalent to an Associate's Degree or equivalent in a related field
  • Electrical/Hydraulic licenses/certifications and/or others relevant to the operation

Work Environment:

This position requires an employee to work in a variety of locations, including job sites, A & E offices, and distributor locations. The employee is occasionally exposed to fumes, airborne particles, climate variances, and moving mechanical equipment typically found in a construction environment.

Certain personal protective equipment is required when on construction sites. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit, stand, talk, hear, reach with hands and arms, and regularly required to walk. Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision and the ability to adjust focus. Must be able to lift 40 lbs., able to walk and stand for long periods of time at job site locations. Able to access work in high locations, must be able to climb a ladder. Position requires approximately 50% travel and the ability to operate a motor vehicle.
