Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Biomedical Engineer to join our team at Spectraforce Technologies. As a Biomedical Engineer, you will be responsible for performing failure analysis on explanted biomedical implant products, providing technical expertise to the Product Analysis Laboratory, and developing investigative protocols to identify root causes.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Perform failure analysis on explanted long-term biomedical implant products
  • Develop and implement investigative protocols to identify root causes
  • Provide technical expertise to the Product Analysis Laboratory
  • Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including Product Development, Engineering, Manufacturing, and Product Surveillance
  • Support all Company initiatives as identified by management and in support of Quality Management Systems (QMS), Environmental Management Systems (EMS), and other regulatory requirements

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, preferably in Biomedical or Mechanical Engineering
  • Strong communication and writing skills
  • Ability to work well independently and on teams in a busy department
  • Strong organizational and follow-up skills, as well as attention to detail
  • Experience with global regulations for medical device reporting and medical terminology is a plus
