Learning and Development Specialist

Job Summary:
The Learning and Development Coordinator will be responsible for the coordination and oversight of training needs for the residential department. This role will develop and revise all required trainings, develop supplemental trainings as needed, and manage the schedule to ensure training needs are met in a timely fashion.
Key Responsibilities:
- Training Needs Assessment: Assess training needs for new and existing employees to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their job duties.
- Training Program Development: Design and develop training programs to address competency gaps and meet specific training needs.
- Training Delivery: Present training programs using recognized training techniques and tools, and facilitate learning through a variety of delivery methods including classroom instruction, virtual training, and on-the-job coaching.
- Training Evaluation: Track and report on training outcomes, and provide feedback to program participants and management.
- Training Records: Maintain department employee training records and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Partnerships: Partner with internal stakeholders to identify employee training needs and develop training programs to meet those needs.
- Facilities and Equipment: Manage and maintain in-house training facilities and equipment.
Requirements:
- Education: A Bachelor's degree in education, communication, or human services.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years experience developing, conducting, presenting, tracking, and leading training programs.
- Skills: Excellent written communication skills and dynamic oral communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse groups.
