Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Learning and Development Coordinator to join our team at Child and Family Services of NY. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating and overseeing training needs for our residential department, developing and revising required trainings, and managing the schedule to ensure timely delivery of training programs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess training needs for new and existing employees
  • Design and utilize assessment tools to measure training effectiveness
  • Identify internal and external training programs to address competency gaps
  • Monitor external environment for changing regulatory areas
  • Organize, develop or source training programs to meet specific training needs
  • Develop training aids such as activities, competency assessments, PowerPoints, manuals, and handbooks
  • Present training programs using recognized training techniques and tools
  • Facilitate learning through a variety of delivery methods including classroom instruction, virtual training, on-the-job coaching
  • Keep current on training design and methodology
  • Track and report on training outcomes
  • Provide feedback to program participants and management
  • Maintain department employee training records
  • Maintain Train the Trainer Certifications needed to educate employees
Requirements
  • A Bachelor's degree in education, communication, or human services
  • Minimum of 2 years experience developing, conducting, presenting, tracking and leading training programs
  • Management experience preferred
  • A valid NYS driver's license
  • Excellent written communication skills and dynamic oral communication skills
  • Experience in human services preferred
