About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Estimator to join our team at DPR Construction. As a Senior Estimator, you will play a critical role in the preconstruction phase of our commercial construction projects, working closely with architects, engineers, owners, and subcontractors to deliver accurate and reliable cost estimates.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and manage project cost estimates from first estimate to subcontract formalization
  • Conduct thorough cost analyses, identifying opportunities for cost savings and value engineering
  • Collaborate with project teams to establish staffing and project requirements
  • Prepare detailed estimates, variance summaries, and value engineering studies
  • Assemble comprehensive estimate packages for presentation to clients
  • Participate in the bidding process, including soliciting bids, evaluating subcontractor proposals, and negotiating subcontracts
  • Lead the preparation and presentation of cost/budget information to clients
  • Engage with new and existing customers to develop business opportunities
Requirements
  • 8-12+ years of experience as a commercial construction estimator, preferably within DPR's core markets
  • Strong understanding of unit costs and factors affecting construction cost
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Proficient in estimating software, take-off software, BIM tools, project management software, and scheduling software
  • Bachelor's degree a plus, but not required
