Job Overview

Position Summary: The Financial Systems Manager plays a crucial role in the management, support, and enhancement of our financial applications and systems. This position is vital for ensuring the integration of financial data, improving system capabilities, and facilitating financial planning and analysis. The successful candidate will have extensive knowledge of financial systems, exceptional problem-solving abilities, and the capacity to collaborate across departments to foster system advancements.

Core Responsibilities:

  • System Management: Oversee and sustain financial systems (such as ERP and financial reporting tools), including managing upgrades, patches, and configurations.
  • Technical Support: Deliver technical assistance for financial systems, addressing issues and executing solutions to reduce downtime and improve user satisfaction.
  • Data Synchronization: Guarantee smooth integration of financial systems with other enterprise applications, ensuring data accuracy and integrity across all platforms.
  • System Enhancement: Evaluate system performance and user feedback to pinpoint improvement opportunities, propose enhancements, and apply best practices.
  • Financial Analysis: Assist in the creation of financial reports, ensuring data precision and adherence to accounting standards and regulations.
  • Project Leadership: Direct and oversee system-related initiatives, including implementations, upgrades, and integrations, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and timelines.
  • Cross-Department Collaboration: Collaborate closely with finance, accounting, IT, and other departments to comprehend system requirements, gather specifications, and ensure effective system utilization.
  • User Training and Documentation: Develop and provide training resources for users, create and maintain system documentation, and offer ongoing support and guidance.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, or a related discipline. An advanced degree or relevant certifications (e.g., CPA, CISA) are preferred.
  • Experience: At least 5 years of experience in managing financial systems, with a robust background in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite) and financial reporting tools.
  • Technical Proficiency: Strong knowledge of financial software and systems, with a solid grasp of SQL, data integration, and reporting tools. Experience in system implementation and project management is advantageous.
  • Analytical Expertise: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and deliver actionable insights.
  • Communication Skills: Outstanding verbal and written communication abilities, capable of engaging effectively with stakeholders at all organizational levels.
  • Detail Orientation: High level of accuracy and attention to detail, with the capability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
