Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Risk Control Specialist to join our team at Guarantee Electrical Company. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing and mitigating risks associated with our construction projects.


Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor and report on insurance claims, maintaining accurate injury logs and ensuring compliance with company standards.
  • Develop and disseminate safety bulletins, incident alerts, and internal messaging to promote a culture of safety and compliance.
  • Organize and maintain contracts, certificates of insurance, and bonds for construction projects, ensuring timely renewals and updates.
  • Review and analyze contract language and insurance terms to ensure compliance with company standards.
  • Assist with OCIP/CCIP enrollments and administer Safety Data Management Systems to track and analyze safety metrics.
  • Support training and education efforts by scheduling, tracking, and filing related documentation.
  • Collaborate with the Fleet Safety Manager to manage fleet-related tasks, including MVRs, auto incidents, and roadside systems.
  • Process requests for certificates of insurance and bonds, communicating with customers as needed.
  • Work with customers to manage company-specific contractual terms and serve as a liaison between operations and customers.
  • Manage the internal contract review process and perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements
  • 5+ years of professional experience in a related field, with a Bachelor's degree in Business, Legal, or a related field.
  • Construction Risk and Insurance Specialist (CRIS) certification or ability to achieve within 1-2 years.
  • Risk and Insurance Management Society Certified Risk Management Professional (RIMS-CRMP) or ability to achieve within 1-2 years.
  • 2+ years' experience in the AEC industry, with experience in Viewpoint and ProCore software desired but not required.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Strong knowledge of project contracts and change order documents.
  • Ability to develop relationships, act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
  • Prioritize time management skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong organization and writing skills, with attention to detail.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and ability to learn new, innovative technology.
