Overview:

As a vital member of the Guarantee Electrical team, the Risk Control & Contracts Specialist plays a crucial role in ensuring the safety and compliance of our operations. This position is essential in fostering a secure work environment while managing contractual obligations effectively.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Monitor, report, and manage insurance claims.
  • Maintain and update logs of workplace injuries.
  • Create and distribute safety bulletins and incident alerts.
  • Organize and electronically track contracts, certificates of insurance, and bonds for construction projects.
  • Review contract language and insurance terms for compliance.
  • Assist with project enrollments in OCIP/CCIP as necessary.
  • Administer the Safety Data Management System and share analytics.
  • Support training initiatives by managing documentation.
  • Assist with fleet safety management tasks.
  • Process requests for certificates of insurance and communicate with clients.
  • Manage internal contract review processes and liaise with operations and clients on related matters.
Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A minimum of 5 years of professional experience in a related field.
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Business, Legal Studies, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.
  • Certification as a Construction Risk and Insurance Specialist (CRIS) or the ability to obtain it within 1-2 years.
  • Risk and Insurance Management Society Certified Risk Management Professional (RIMS-CRMP) or the ability to achieve this certification within 1-2 years.
  • Preferred experience of 2+ years in the AEC industry.
  • Familiarity with Viewpoint and ProCore software is desirable but not mandatory.

  • Strong understanding of project contracts and change orders.
  • Ability to cultivate relationships while maintaining integrity and confidentiality.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and adaptability to new technologies.
