Qualifications:

Education:

A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field is required.

Project Management certification or equivalent is preferred.

Knowledge and Skills:

Proven experience in leading small to medium scale new application development or infrastructure deployment projects.

Familiarity with various systems development life cycles, including Iterative, Agile, and Waterfall methodologies.

Strong leadership capabilities to guide a team through all phases of complex systems assignments.

Technical Skills:

Advanced proficiency in MS Office Suite (including Visio, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).

Basic knowledge of Clarity or other Portfolio/Program Management Software is a plus.

Experience:

Minimum of 7 years in an information technology role with a solid understanding of applications, databases, networking, telecommunications, and connectivity.

At least 5 years of experience in a Project Management capacity with a focus on team development.

Experience may be considered in lieu of educational requirements where applicable.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide leadership on multiple medium and occasionally large internal IT or business projects, managing financial, scope, schedule, and risk elements.

Develop and execute project work plans, adjusting them as necessary to meet evolving needs while adhering to established project management methodologies.

Oversee the overall direction, coordination, implementation, execution, control, and completion of business projects, ensuring alignment with company strategy and objectives.

Direct and manage the operational and administrative functions of IT and business project teams.

Essential Functions:

Create a communication plan to ensure ongoing updates to project team members, stakeholders, and sponsors regarding project status.

Identify necessary resources for project completion and collaborate with resource managers to assemble appropriate teams.

Manage issues, risks, and changes utilizing agreed-upon processes and tools established within the Project Management Office.

Determine project schedules, identify critical paths, and assess potential risks.

Apply and enforce scheduling standards effectively with project teams.

Lead the project team in maintaining project work plans and drafting required deliverables.

Forecast, manage, and report on project financials, including planned versus actual schedules and resource utilization.

Understand basic revenue models and cost-to-completion projections to make informed decisions.

Facilitate project reviews and provide necessary information for audits, status reports, and executive review meetings.

Accountable for delivering medium and occasionally large projects on time, within budget, and meeting functional and quality specifications.

Manage both forecasted and actual project expenditures.
