Purpose and Scope:

As a Project Superintendent, you will be responsible for coordinating and providing comprehensive work packages to include detailed job plan tasking, material lists, and schedules. Your goal will be to ensure efficient scheduling and execution of work.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Proper planning and estimating of man-hours on Work Orders received in the Workload Management department.
  • Reading detailed drawings to make labor estimates and material takeoffs.
  • Coordination of tasking during the planning stages with other assigned crafts, engineering, and work requester.
  • Developing detailed schedules, material requirements lists, and production plans for established workflows.
  • Identifying, coordinating, and/or requesting procurement of all materials and special tools required to perform WO tasks.
  • Performing work site field investigations and interactions with customers to determine job conditions, special requirements, and scope of work.
  • Verifying availability/receipt of resources, outages, access, permits, and materials prior to forwarding to scheduling.
  • Coordinating outages (dates and duration) through the Outage Coordinators and access work areas through the Facility Managers.
  • Assisting Planning/Scheduling with the preparation of near-term schedules.
  • Planning and issuing project schedules and material requirements.
  • Following weekly work schedules and communicating developments and potential issues.
  • Providing input to management regarding problems such as cost shortages, design changes, backlogs, etc.
  • Responsible for coordinating all paperwork when a scope change is encountered by field personnel.
  • Preparing scope change requests in detail using established forms for submittal.
  • Providing technical assistance when requested by shop personnel.
  • Performing all other position-related duties as assigned or requested.
Minimum Position Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:
  • 3+ years of relevant experience with a Master's Degree, or 5+ years of relevant experience with a Bachelor's degree, or 10+ years of relevant experience in a related field.
  • Excellent written communication skills, organizational skills, and ability to perform detail-oriented work.
  • Experience in Mechanical/Civil construction and facility modifications/upgrades.
  • Proficiency in CAD, Microsoft Planning, and RS Means Cost works.
  • Ability to pass and maintain a Security Clearance.
