Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head Cashier to join our team at Natural Grocers. As a key member of our store operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our front end, providing exceptional customer service, and supporting overall store operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Customer Service: Provide World Class Customer Service and a positive customer experience as the number one priority.
  • Team Management: Train and direct cashiers, ensuring they are equipped to provide excellent customer service and meet sales goals.
  • Operations: Oversee the completion of daily tasks, including cashier closeout responsibilities, issuing and verifying cash drawers, and handling returns and overrides.
  • Inventory Management: Ensure that front end sets are full and well-maintained, and that all registers are stocked and ready for use.
  • Communication: Communicate effectively with customers, cashiers, and other store staff to ensure seamless operations and resolve any issues that may arise.
  • Problem-Solving: Address customer complaints and concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
Requirements
  • Education: High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Experience: 1 year of cashiering experience and 1 year of supervising others preferred.
  • Skills: Excellent customer service skills, ability to multitask, and strong communication skills.
  • Certifications: Ability to pass food safety training courses and/or certifications as required by law.
