About the RoleThe Production Supervisor will oversee personnel, workflow, and equipment in various production assembly processes. This role requires constant visibility on the production floor, ensuring production output volumes, product quality, personnel scheduling, cost control, safety, and adherence to 5S standards.
Key Responsibilities- Train production personnel to perform work assignments safely and efficiently.
- Maintain positive employee relations through effective coaching and consistent application of company policies.
- Requisition and allocate personnel to meet production goals and schedules.
- Facilitate and support employee team operations to ensure collaboration and teamwork.
- Review employee performance regularly and provide feedback in line with plant goals.
- Coordinate and arrange for proper maintenance of machinery and equipment.
- Work overtime as needed to meet internal and external customer requirements.
- Ensure the quality and appearance of various products being produced meet company standards.
- Maintain consistent daily production output and ensure production efficiency.
- Control labor costs while achieving production targets.
- Adjust production output to meet demands, maintaining low lead times and ensuring on-time delivery.
- Address personnel matters such as conducting performance reviews and handling disciplinary actions (in collaboration with the HR Manager).
- Actively spend the entire day on the production floor, monitoring hourly production progress and conducting quality checks.
- Monitor and control scrap levels to minimize waste.
- Follow and enforce all established procedures and maintain safety policies.
- Maintain warehouse housekeeping and 5S standards.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
- Participate in High Performance Team (HPT) functions to drive continuous improvement.
- High School Diploma required; Bachelor's Degree preferred.
- 3 to 5 years of manufacturing experience, with a proven track record of supervising production teams and processes.
- Strong leadership and coaching abilities, with the capacity to train and motivate employees.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for maintaining employee relations and facilitating teamwork.
- Strong organizational skills to manage personnel, workflow, and production schedules.
- Problem-solving skills to address production challenges and maintain product quality.
- Familiarity with safety policies, cost control measures, and labor management.
- Proficiency in 5S principles and maintaining a clean, organized work environment.
