Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Production Supervisor to join our team at GKN Automotive. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for managing and coordinating the activities of a team of employees/operators to ensure the efficient and effective production of our driveline technologies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operations Management: Supervise and coordinate the activities of a team of employees/operators to ensure the efficient and effective production of our driveline technologies.
  • Production Planning: Develop and implement daily and weekly production plans to ensure the timely and efficient production of our products.
  • Leadership and Direction: Provide leadership and direction to your team to ensure they have the skills and knowledge necessary to perform their jobs effectively.
  • Manufacturing Methods/Processes Development: Identify and implement improvements to our manufacturing processes and systems to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Health, Safety and Environment: Ensure that all health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures are followed and implemented.
  • Quality: Ensure that all products meet the required quality standards and that any quality issues are identified and addressed promptly.
  • Work Scheduling and Allocation: Develop and implement work schedules and allocate tasks to team members to ensure the efficient and effective production of our products.
  • Operational Compliance: Ensure that all operational policies and procedures are followed and implemented.
  • Performance Management: Monitor and evaluate the performance of team members and provide feedback and coaching to improve performance.
  • Internal Communications: Ensure that all internal communications are effective and that all team members are informed of any changes or updates.
  • Improvement/Innovation: Identify and implement improvements to our processes and systems to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
Requirements
  • Action Planning: Develop and implement action plans to achieve business objectives.
  • Policy and Procedures: Develop, monitor, and interpret policies and procedures to ensure they are aligned with business objectives.
  • Planning and Organizing: Plan and organize activities to achieve business objectives.
  • Review and Reporting: Review and create reports to provide insights and recommendations to improve business performance.
  • Verbal Communication: Develop and deliver clear and effective verbal communications to convey ideas and plans.
  • Adaptive Mindset: Demonstrate an adaptive mindset to thrive in a fast-paced and changing environment.
  • Health and Safety: Manage and apply safe systems of work to ensure the health and safety of team members.
  • Negotiation: Negotiate with internal and external stakeholders to achieve business objectives.
Education and Experience

We are seeking a candidate with a short-cycle tertiary education and experience in a manufacturing or operations environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of manufacturing processes and systems, as well as excellent leadership and communication skills.
