Job Summary:

The Houseperson is a vital member of our housekeeping team, responsible for ensuring the hotel's public areas and guest rooms are clean and well-maintained. This role requires a high level of attention to detail, strong communication skills, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Clean and maintain guest rooms, hallways, and public areas to the highest standards.
  • Respond promptly to guest requests and report any maintenance issues to the relevant departments.
  • Perform a range of cleaning and maintenance tasks, including sweeping, mopping, and polishing floors, dusting and polishing metalwork, and collecting soiled linen.
  • Assist room attendants with heavy lifting and deep cleaning tasks.
  • Deliver towels, cribs, and other items to guest rooms as requested.
  • Report missing or found articles, damage, or merchandise problems to the housekeeping supervisors.
  • Work collaboratively with other departments to ensure seamless service delivery.

Requirements:

  • Ability to work days, nights, holidays, and weekends.
  • Knowledge of cleaning and sanitation products, techniques, and methods.
  • Friendly, outgoing personality and professional appearance required.
  • Physical stamina and mobility, including ability to reach, kneel, and bend, with ability to lift, push, and pull.
  • Strong verbal communication skills and ability to work in a multi-cultural environment.
  • Ability to work independently with little or no supervision.
