POSITION SUMMARY:

The Housekeeping Associate is a vital member of the housekeeping team, responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and maintenance of guest rooms, public areas, and hotel premises. This role requires a high level of attention to detail, strong communication skills, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Clean and maintain guest rooms, including making beds, changing linens, and restocking amenities.
  • Empty trash and recyclables from guest rooms and public areas.
  • Restock supplies, including toiletries, towels, and linens.
  • Perform deep cleaning tasks, such as cleaning carpets, upholstered furniture, and walls.
  • Assist with laundry and linen duties.
  • Respond to guest requests and concerns in a timely and professional manner.
  • Work collaboratively with other departments, including front desk, maintenance, and food and beverage.
  • Participate in ongoing training and development to improve skills and knowledge.

PREREQUISITES:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Previous housekeeping experience preferred.
  • Ability to lift, push, and pull heavy objects.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

The Housekeeping Associate will work in a fast-paced hotel environment, with frequent exposure to cleaning chemicals and equipment. The ability to work in a team environment and maintain a positive attitude is essential for success in this role.
