Job Summary:
This position focuses on the technical support of brazing and welding processes related to the assembly and fabrication of HVAC centrifugal chillers. The role includes supporting manufacturing and training processes, leading projects, and facilitating process improvements of varying scope while aiding in the implementation of product changes into production.


Key Responsibilities:
Assume ownership of brazing processes, including manual and future automated methods and controls within a production environment. Provide technical support to production to meet or exceed customer expectations.
Drive the development of manufacturing concepts through to the implementation of final process designs. Ensure project benefits align with business case expectations. Document designs and manage changes within existing quality control systems.
Lead continuous improvement initiatives for brazing processes through the Braze Excellence program.
Conduct process qualification activities to ensure compliance with required specifications. Generate necessary documentation for new or updated processes and assist in training production team members.

Identify potential projects and provide technical leadership to help the site achieve safety, quality, and productivity improvement objectives within the manufacturing operation.

Utilize a standardized problem-solving approach to address product and process failures, developing root cause solutions to prevent recurrence.
Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to build consensus and achieve optimal outcomes, including participation in and occasionally leading rapid improvement events as part of the site's Lean transformation journey.

Qualifications:


Bachelor's degree in Engineering (preferably in Weld Engineering, Weld Engineering Technology, or Metallurgical Engineering). A minimum of 3 years of experience or educational background in flame and induction brazing applications is preferred.

Applications may include copper, brass, mild steel, aluminum, and other metal joining techniques.

Possess strong technical knowledge of brazing, welding, and metal joining systems, with the ability to apply these concepts in a manufacturing context.

Demonstrated understanding of metal joining principles, including process requirements to fulfill design intent.
Familiarity with pressure vessel codes is advantageous.
Exhibit excellent project leadership and team-building skills.
Strong work ethic, positive attitude, customer-focused, team-oriented, and results-driven.
Authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.

Base Pay Range:
$90,000 - $130,000 annually. Disclaimer: This range may reflect variations due to seniority, merit, geographic location, education, experience, travel requirements, or employer systems measuring earnings by production quality or quantity. Benefits may vary by region, business alignment, union involvement, and employee status.
