A Day in the Life of a Senior Specialist in Commercial Loan Processing:
- Conduct credit bureau reports, flood determinations, UCC searches, and perform necessary research prior to loan closing.
- When necessary, order appraisals, title work, prepare closing statements, obtain flood certifications, and facilitate document signing.
- Review title work for any requirements or issues that need to be addressed.
- Complete internal checklists to ensure compliance with regulations, internal policies, and procedures with high detail on loan requests.

- Input consumer non-real estate and business loan data into our loan underwriting software, ensuring accuracy and completeness in required fields.

- Prepare and review appropriate loan documentation for respective closings and/or renewals in accordance with loan policy guidelines and regulatory requirements.

- Upload new and renewed loans, disburse loan proceeds, and perform any other required file maintenance accurately and promptly.

- Ensure perfect collateral management to maintain the bank's lien position based on instructions outlined in loan document requests.

- Set up ticklers to monitor the receipt of collateral and financial documents.

- Prepare and index loan files in our document storage system in a timely manner.

- Perform departmental duties as required to maintain efficient workflow.

- Adhere to all established security and internal control procedures to safeguard the assets of the bank and its customers.

- Prepare releases of the bank's interest on paid-off loans and send paid letters to customers.

- Verify loan entries in our core system for accuracy and compliance.

- Review attorney-prepared loan documents for accuracy, regulatory compliance, and adherence to lender's requirements, paying close attention to rates, terms, conditions, covenants, guarantees, etc.

- Undertake additional tasks, functions, or projects as assigned.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree (B.A.) from a four-year college or university; three to five years of related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

- Prior banking experience with knowledge of applicable banking regulations or policies, including BSA, Regulation Z, RESPA, HMDA, and Fair Lending.

- Previous experience in commercial loan documentation is preferred.

- Familiarity with Jack Henry Silverlake, CreditQuest, and LaserPro is advantageous.

- Proficient in Microsoft products (Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, etc.).

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively present information and respond to inquiries from groups of managers, internal staff, and customers.
