Univest Financial Corporation is seeking a highly skilled Loan Participations Officer to join our Deposit and Item Operations Team in Souderton, PA. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing loan participation portfolios, facilitating seamless onboarding, and ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
Key Responsibilities- Manage loan participation portfolios, including originating and participating banks, and ensure adherence to deadlines.
- Act as a liaison between participating bank representatives, internal commercial banking teams, and borrowers to facilitate a seamless onboarding process.
- Analyze current processes for areas of improvement and make fact-based recommendations for best practices.
- Compile statistical and evaluation reports to be distributed to the Director of Bank Operations and provide strategic evaluations of data to inform efficiency and drive change.
- Responsible for creating and maintaining comprehensive procedures to reinforce bank policies, operational processes, and regulatory requirements.
- Provide education and support to other Loan Operations teams to foster teamwork and provide growth opportunities.
- Accountable for ensuring accurate final loan packages are boarded, funded, and filed in accordance with audit and bank policy, as well as any applicable regulatory requirements.
- Account for all payments, fees, and interest due and ensure all entries reconcile.
- Responsible for accurate processing of all participation, syndication, and related loan transactions and settlements.
- Perform all maintenance, calculations, and adjustments in a timely fashion.
- Responsible for completing daily and monthly reconciliations, reviewing exception reports to ensure records are accurate and up to date.
- Lead special projects as assigned, acting as a change agent for the initiatives and providing constructive insight.
- 3-5 years of finance, loan operations, or commercial lending experience, or equivalent related education.
- Detailed understanding of loan and banking products and services.
- Advanced understanding of financial accounting concepts.
- Experience reading complex loan contracts, with the ability to comprehend each document, discern inconsistencies and errors, and provide resolution.
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and multi-task and prioritize to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Suite, Jack Henry, Salesforce, nCino or equivalent banking systems.
