The Production Team Leader is responsible for guiding team members in executing the manufacturing strategy to achieve the organization's objectives while prioritizing safety, product quality, and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Inspire and develop team members through effective training, communication, and mentorship, addressing any personnel concerns as they arise.
  • Conduct comprehensive on-the-job training for all procedures related to production, quality assurance, and safety protocols.
  • Allocate production resources and manage activities to ensure the timely fulfillment of customer orders.
  • Maintain transparent communication regarding production status with management and across shifts.
  • Adhere to and promote plant safety initiatives, ensuring compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
  • Implement quality and operational guidelines to minimize waste through proactive monitoring and auditing of finished products.
  • Encourage a collaborative team atmosphere with clear expectations and accountability, fostering a clean and organized workspace that reduces waste and optimizes resource use.
  • Understand and execute the production schedule to meet delivery commitments effectively.
  • Perform quality inspections to ensure that the manufactured products meet both customer specifications and internal standards.
  • Identify and document any non-conforming products.
  • Enhance productivity and minimize unallocated labor through effective supervision and resource management, including labor, materials, finished goods, and equipment.
  • Act as a mentor and facilitator in delegating daily responsibilities, preparing performance evaluations, and managing payroll for direct reports on the assigned shift.
  • Prepare documentation for disciplinary actions and actively participate in resolving employee-related issues.
  • Consistent and punctual attendance is a fundamental requirement of this role.
  • Support the organization's various operational needs as required.

Essential Qualifications/Skills:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Outlook.
  • Understanding of Lean Manufacturing principles.
  • Ability to work autonomously.

  • Critical thinking skills are essential.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Word and Office Suite.

  • Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English is preferred.
