Position Summary:

We are looking for Calibration Service Technicians at various experience levels to join our team at Aldinger Co., a prominent provider of calibration services. This role is ideal for individuals who wish to merge their customer service expertise with technical and mechanical skills.

Location: This position involves on-site work at diverse customer locations, requiring scheduled overnight travel.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct calibrations and measurements utilizing appropriate reference standards across various disciplines, including Torque, Force, Pressure, Electronics, Temperature/Humidity, and Dimensional Metrology.
  • Perform basic troubleshooting and operational checks on equipment.
  • Document calibration results using tracking and documentation software.
  • Collaborate with the technical team and scheduling department to address scheduling conflicts.
  • Engage in daily communication with customers to ascertain their calibration requirements.
  • Maintain regular communication with the technical team regarding calibration status and improvement opportunities.
  • Identify potential sales opportunities and notify the sales team accordingly.
  • Safely operate mobile calibration laboratories in compliance with local motor vehicle laws.
  • Complete necessary driving logs and documentation.
  • Manage the setup, teardown, and routine maintenance of mobile laboratories.
  • Travel to off-site locations, with overnight stays as required.

  • Willingness to travel to customer locations, including occasional overnight trips.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in calibration, technical trades, or related fields.
  • Familiarity with measurement tools such as micrometers and torque wrenches.
  • Knowledge of metrology principles and techniques.
  • Technical education or military training in relevant fields.
