Work Environment: This position requires on-site work at diverse customer locations, with a commitment to scheduled overnight travel, approximately 40% of the time.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct calibrations and measurements utilizing suitable reference standards across various disciplines, including Torque, Force, Pressure, Electronics, Temperature/Humidity, and Dimensional Metrology.
  • Perform basic troubleshooting and operational checks on equipment.
  • Document calibration results in tracking software.
  • Collaborate with the technical team and scheduling department to manage and resolve scheduling conflicts.
  • Engage in daily communication with customer representatives to understand their calibration needs.
  • Coordinate with the technical team regarding calibration status and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Inform the sales team of potential new tool sales opportunities.
  • Safely operate and transport mobile calibration laboratories in compliance with local laws.
  • Maintain accurate driving logs and complete necessary paperwork.
  • Set up, dismantle, and perform routine maintenance on mobile laboratories as required.
  • Travel to off-site locations with prearranged overnight stays, up to 40% of the time.

Qualifications:

Essential Requirements:

  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Comfortable driving larger vehicles, such as box trucks.
  • Able to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Exceptional customer service skills.
  • Strong organizational and prioritization capabilities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Willingness to travel to customer locations and occasionally for overnight stays.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in calibration, machining, service, quality assurance, engineering, or other technical fields.
  • Familiarity with measurement tools such as micrometers and torque wrenches.
  • Knowledge of metrology principles and techniques.
  • Experience with electrical, physical, or mechanical calibration.
  • Associate's Degree in Engineering, Electronics, or related technical fields.
  • Military PMEL training.
  • Experience with IndySoft or similar software.
  • CDL – Class B license.
