Procurement Coordinator Role

Daily Instruments is seeking a skilled Procurement Coordinator to coordinate onsite work with the engineering team, designers, purchasing/requisitions, and special project team personnel.

The successful candidate will ensure that projects are completed safely and accurately, and in a timely manner to meet QA Requirements, customer demands, and tight shipping goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the project work plan process to ensure accurate and timely completion of production goals
  • Figure out optimal purchasing, procurement, expediting work flow by working with manufacturing engineering and fabrication departments
  • Provide support to Procurement Department, assist in the preparation of RFQ's, RFP's, and purchase orders
  • Contribute to procurement cost-reduction initiatives
  • Assist in preparing procurement status and expediting reports
  • Organize and schedule procurements in a timely manner
  • Contact Suppliers to resolve missed deliveries, short shipments
  • Receive and close purchase orders in ERP system
  • Familiar with 'made-to-order manufacturing' work processes
  • Coordinate work with multiple disciplines including engineering, manufacturing, purchasing, welders, and other production staff

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in procurement, business, finance or related field
  • ~2-5 years of previous experience in procurement or purchasing, required
  • ~ Working knowledge of how purchasing/expediting impacts strict Production Planning or Scheduling
  • ~ Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office
  • ~ Enthusiastic team player, Creative thinker, focus on bottom-line results
  • ~ Must be fluent in English, any other language skills are beneficial
  • ~ Hands-on production, welding, fabrication, or machine shop experience is beneficial
