We are seeking a highly skilled Procurement Coordinator to join our team at Daily Instruments Corporation. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating onsite work with the engineering team, designers, purchasing/requisitions, and special project team personnel.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage the project work plan process to ensure accurate and timely completion of production goals.
- Optimize purchasing, procurement, and expediting workflows by working with manufacturing engineering and fabrication departments.
- Read and understand technical drawings and schematics.
- Provide support to the Procurement Department, assist in preparing RFQs, RFPs, and purchase orders.
- Support sales by obtaining pricing from suppliers for RFQs.
- Contribute to procurement cost-reduction initiatives.
- Assist in preparing procurement status and expediting reports.
- Organize and schedule procurements in a timely manner.
- Expedite shipments from suppliers.
- Work with accounting to resolve supplier invoicing discrepancies.
- Contact suppliers to resolve missed deliveries and short shipments.
- Receive and close purchase orders in the ERP system.
- Bachelor's degree in procurement, business, finance, or a related field.
- 2-5 years of previous experience in procurement or purchasing, required.
- Working knowledge of how purchasing/expediting impacts strict production planning or scheduling.
- Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
- Excellent technical communication skills.
- Organized and detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy.
- Enthusiastic team player, creative thinker, focus on bottom-line results.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage efficiently.
- Self-driven initiative to respond to fluid work environments and rapidly changing priorities.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer other than the current employer.
- Must be fluent in English; any other language skills are beneficial.
- Hands-on production, welding, fabrication, or machine shop experience is beneficial.
