Job Description

As the Director of Disaster Recovery and Resilience, you will lead a team of experts in implementing programs to support communities affected by disasters. Your primary responsibility will be to provide executive leadership to the Division, creating a vision and navigating the team towards a shared goal. You will manage relationships with subordinate, peer, and supervisory staff, as well as external partners, to ensure the successful delivery of programs and services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide executive leadership to the Division, including creating a vision and navigating the team towards a shared goal.
  • Manage relationships with subordinate, peer, and supervisory staff, as well as external partners, to ensure the successful delivery of programs and services.
  • Develop and implement strategies for grant programs, develop and provide recommendations on administrative division budget, and represent the agency publicly in matters pertaining to OHCS programs and services.
  • Lead by example, creating a management team that is accountable to results and develops staff based on their knowledge, skills, and abilities related to the tasks at hand.
Requirements
  • Seven years of supervision, management, or progressively related experience; OR four years of related experience and a bachelor's degree in a related field.
  • Strong ability to work with executive team, legal counsel, or other advisors to plan, develop, and recommend new strategies for providing efficient and effective programs and services.
  • Proficient experience with plans, directing, controlling, developing program, policy and budget, and monitors compliance, outcomes, and impacts of the DRR.
