Job Title: Volunteer Coordinator

At Episcopal SeniorLife Communities, we are committed to providing high-quality services to our residents and community members. We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Volunteer Coordinator to join our team.

Job Summary:

The Volunteer Coordinator will be responsible for supporting our communities in their volunteer efforts, including recruitment, training, and retention. This role will work closely with our communities to develop and implement volunteer programs that meet the needs of our residents and community members.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Recruit, screen, and interview volunteers for site-specific activities and recreational programs.
  • Maintain records and provide statistical data on volunteer participation.
  • Conduct volunteer satisfaction surveys and address issues or concerns.
  • Develop and provide ongoing communication, training, and recognition for volunteers.
  • Attend community outreach opportunities and develop marketing plans to promote volunteer opportunities.
  • Develop and oversee a formal volunteer orientation and training program.
  • Coordinate volunteer events and manage the volunteer program budget.
  • Develop and maintain volunteer program policies and procedures.
Requirements:
  • Associate's degree in a related field or combination of education and experience.
  • Prior experience working with volunteers is required, with a minimum of 5 years of professional experience in healthcare or human services.
  • Valid New York State driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Good organizational and prioritization skills.
  • Ability to self-motivate, work independently, and within a team.
  • Knowledge of communication devices and Microsoft Office components.
Physical Requirements:

This role requires occasional walking, standing, and sitting. The ability to lift loads of 30 pounds without assistance is also required.

Working Conditions:

The majority of essential job duties are performed indoors in a normal office environment.
