Baxter Health's Women & Newborn Care Center provides patient-centered care, serving obstetrical patients, gynecological patients, and neonates. Our team of skilled professionals, including physicians, nurses, OB technicians, and secretaries, work together to provide high-quality care. All nursing staff receives training in Neonatal Resuscitation, STABLE, and Fetal Monitoring. Our family-oriented unit features 10 Labor/Delivery/Postpartum rooms, 2 triage exam rooms, 3 general patient rooms, and 2 Operating Room suites, as well as a 6-bed Level II Nursery. We offer opportunities for education and professional growth, encouraging staff to further their education and develop their skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct patient care for assigned patients on the nursing unit and lead the nursing team.
  • Utilize the nursing process to assess, diagnose, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans, adhering to Shared Governance principles.
  • Collaborate with healthcare team members to promote evidence-based care and a healing culture for patients and their families.

Job Requirements:

  • Education: Graduate of an accredited nursing program. Associate's degree required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Licensure: Current Arkansas or Compact State RN License in good standing.
  • Experience: Minimum of one year of experience preferred.
  • Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) required; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) required within the first 90 days of employment.
  • Skills: Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively; basic computer knowledge required.

This position is deemed safety-sensitive in accordance with Arkansas Act 593 governing Medical Marijuana.
