SUMMARY: This role is designated for a licensed practical nurse who, through their educational background and clinical expertise, possesses the advanced knowledge and practical skills essential for delivering expert nursing care. The position emphasizes quality-focused and cost-effective care delivery outcomes.

The individual will be responsible for adhering to all nursing care standards and fostering a collaborative team environment among colleagues. They will also be accountable for understanding and embodying the vision, mission, values, and standards of Baxter Regional Medical Center.


JOB REQUIREMENTS
Education:
Graduate of an accredited nursing program.

Licensure:
Current Practical Nurse license in good standing.

Experience:
Open to training recent LPN graduates; prior clinic experience is preferred.

Certifications:
BLS certification is mandatory.

Other Qualifications:
Must possess the ability to read, write, and communicate effectively. Basic computer skills are required.

Safety Sensitive Designation:
This position is classified as safety sensitive in accordance with relevant regulations.

Physical Demands:
The physical requirements outlined here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this position, with or without accommodations. Responsibilities include:
  • Effective oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, squat, and twist for extended periods (8-10 hours).
  • Occasional lifting of equipment weighing 50 pounds or more.
  • Ability to assist in lifting patients weighing 125 pounds or more.
  • Proficiency in using a computer and related equipment for extended periods.

Work Environment:
This position is situated in a clinical setting, which operates 8-12 hours daily, year-round. Flexibility for holidays and inclement weather is required.
