Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Internal Medicine Physician to join our team at Denver Health. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, diagnosing and treating a wide range of diseases and injuries of internal organ systems, and working collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes for our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Diagnose and treat patients with various medical conditions, including hypertension, heart disease, diabetes, and problems related to the lung, brain, kidney, or gastrointestinal tract.
  • Prescribe and administer medication, therapy, and other specialized medical care to treat or prevent illness, disease, or injury.
  • Manage and treat common health problems, such as infections, influenza, or pneumonia, as well as serious, chronic, and complex illnesses, in adolescents, adults, and the elderly.
  • Provide and manage long-term, comprehensive medical care, including diagnosis and nonsurgical treatment of diseases, for adult patients in an office or hospital setting.
  • Explain procedures and discuss test results or prescribed treatments with patients.
  • Advise patients and community members concerning diet, activity, hygiene, and disease prevention.
  • Make diagnoses when different illnesses occur together or in situations where the diagnosis may be obscure.
  • Refer patients to medical specialists or other practitioners when necessary.
  • Collect medical history, monitor patients' conditions and progress, provide consulting services to other providers as needed, and advise other providers of patients' risk status.
Requirements
  • Doctorate degree from an accredited medical school.
  • MD-Physician license from the State Medical Board.
