Job Summary

We are seeking a Senior Medical Director for our Sleep Services department. This leadership role will oversee the development of care models, accreditation management, and telemedicine initiatives.

Responsibilities
  • Direct supervision of Enterprise Sleep Physicians to ensure quality care delivery and cost-effectiveness.
  • Partner with APP Directors and Operations Director to develop strategic plans and improve operational efficiency.
  • Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, and leaders across regions and affiliated sleep labs to enhance patient experience and outcomes.
  • Define and establish care models for Sleep patients, utilizing evidence-based practices and accreditation standards.
  • Oversee the development of care delivery models and enterprise accreditation, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Assess access, demand, and need for Sleep services, utilizing telemedicine and data-driven insights.
  • Participate in strategic planning, research, and innovation in Sleep services to stay ahead of industry trends.
  • Serve as a model Sleep physician for Intermountain Mission, Vision, and Values, promoting a culture of high reliability and Zero Harm.
Requirements
  • M.D. or D.O. degree from an ACGME or AOA-accredited institution; ABIM, ABMS Sleep Medicine Certification; active State Medical Licensure.
  • Three years of clinical experience working as a Sleep Physician; three years of experience leading successful improvement initiatives in clinical settings.
  • Two years of progressive healthcare leadership experience, including change management and implementation of new processes or technology.
  • Effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills; demonstrated leadership of clinicians.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Masters degree in business, Healthcare Administration, Public health, or related fields (e.g., MPH MHA).
  • Trained in improvement science (i.e., Six Sigma, Lean, Project management, Advanced Training Program).
  • Experience working in a complex health system (hospitals, ambulatory clinics, post-acute care).
Estimated Salary

$250,000 - $350,000 per annum, depending on qualifications and experience.
