Kleinfelder presents a remarkable opportunity for a Land Surveying Team Leader. In this role, you will be integral to one of the most rapidly expanding land development firms nationwide. Collaborate with a seasoned team of surveying experts, collectively boasting over 75 years of industry experience. Our survey division operates cohesively, ensuring that every team member is well-prepared for each assignment. Key Responsibilities:
- Documentation Management: Maintain comprehensive records and data related to ongoing work, site conditions, crew personnel, and project materials.
- Work Scheduling: Efficiently plan and schedule work activities to ensure timely and budget-compliant task completion.
- Team Coordination: Collaborate effectively with team members to fulfill individual responsibilities.
- Project Oversight: Manage surveying tasks and liaise with other construction professionals to execute project requirements safely and accurately.
- Equipment Operation: Demonstrate proficiency in operating various surveying instruments, including robotic systems, total stations, GPS devices, levels, measuring tools, data collectors, and relevant software.
- Crew Development: Mentor and guide instrument and chain operators, imparting knowledge and safety practices developed through personal experience.
Qualifications:
- Preferred minimum of 5 years in civil and transportation surveying.
- A high school diploma or equivalent is mandatory.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with other technical professionals.
- Strong written communication skills to convey technical information clearly and present effectively to diverse audiences.
- Valid driver's license with a proven record of safe driving.
- Capability to obtain necessary background clearances for specific client sites.
- Physical Requirements:
- Mobility in and around construction sites and field assignments.
- Ability to transport surveying equipment across various terrains.
- Capacity to lift up to 50 pounds and walk extended distances.
- Willingness to stand for prolonged periods and work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Availability for overtime as required.
- Essential qualities include leadership, communication, problem-solving, organizational skills, safety awareness, and mathematical proficiency.
