We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Imaging Tech Assistant to join our team at Trinity Health. As a Medical Imaging Tech Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting our radiologic team by preparing patients for examinations and assisting radiographers as needed.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare patients for radiographic examinations and assist radiographers as needed.
- Perform a wide variety of tasks and functions in support of department operations, including secretarial and transport duties.
- Participate in orientation and continuing education to maintain knowledge and skills related to specific areas of expertise.
- Complete population-specific competency annually on populations served as identified in scope of care and service.
- High school education or equivalent.
- Prior patient care/handling experience preferred.
- Must have transporter experience or have demonstrated the desire and motivation to advance to this level.
- Good communication skills, both oral and written, and strong interpersonal skills required.
- Knowledge of examinations, equipment, and limitations.
- Ability to anticipate needs of technologists and/or patients and fulfill them without constant supervision.
This is an office/clinical setting with exposure to blood, body fluids, excretions, or secretions. There may be intermittent to regular exposure to unpleasant physical conditions and regular exposure to situations that could cause moderate to serious injury or illness. Radiation exposure may occur when testing equipment.
Physical DemandsThis is a heavy work position requiring pushing, pulling, walking, standing, and lifting.
SupervisionThis position is supervised by a technologist/supervisor.
Pay RangeThe pay range for this position is $16.70-$24.20, based on experience, skills, and education.
