Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Imaging Tech Assistant to join our team at Trinity Health. As a key member of our imaging department, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our radiology services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare patients for radiographic examinations and assist radiographers as needed.
  • Perform a wide range of tasks and functions in support of department operations, including secretarial and transport duties.
  • Develop and maintain knowledge and skills related to specific areas of expertise through ongoing education and training.
  • Participate in orientation and continuing education programs to stay up-to-date on the latest imaging technologies and techniques.
  • Collaborate with technologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care.
Requirements
  • High school education or equivalent.
  • Prior patient care/handling experience preferred.
  • Ability to learn biomedical electronic radiologic imaging, computer data entry, and hemodynamic monitoring skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Good knowledge of examinations, equipment, and limitations.
Work Environment and Hazards

This role is based in an office/clinical setting and may involve exposure to blood, body fluids, excretions, or secretions. You will also be exposed to radiation when testing equipment.

Physical Demands

This role requires heavy work, including pushing, pulling, walking, standing, and lifting.

Pay and Benefits

Pay is based on experience, skills, and education, with a range of $16.70-$24.20 per hour. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates.
